Trump attacks law firm linked to Jan.6 civil prosecutions and his 34 felony convictions [1]

The law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkin, Wharton and Garrison LLP, has been targeted in still another executive order attacking law firms that had anything to do with Trump's criminal cases.
This firm has fewer offices than Perkins Coie, with 10, but even more lawyers working for them and $2.6 billion in 2024 revenue. Their history goes back to 1875. This one is headquartered in New York City.
This executive order is titled: Addressing The Risks From Paul Weiss.
You know how this is going to go when he starts right off being the judge, jury, and executioner.
"Global law firms have years played and outsized role in undermining the judicial process and in the destruction of bedrock American principles."
"Global...undermining…destruction." Globalism is not America First. First strike. Undermining and destruction of American principles, which Trump knows nothing about. 2nd and 3rd strikes.
"Many have engaged in activities that make our communities less safe... degrade the quality of American elections... they have sometimes done so on behalf of clients, pro bono, or ostensibly for 'the public good'..."
It's a law firm, for crying out loud. Somebody has to represent people in court, even accused murderers. Or even presidents who break the law. Doing it pro bono is even worse. And putting quotes around the "public good," of course, discredits it.
Now we come to one of the main crimes. You're not going to believe it.
"In 2021, a Paul Weiss partner and former leading prosecutor in the office of Special Counsel Robert Mueller brought a pro bono suit against individuals alleged to have participated the events that occurred at or near the United States Capitol on January 6, on behalf of the District of Columbia Attorney General."
Paul, Weiss, Robert Mueller, pro bono, and January 6th. Four strikes at once and you're out. Strangely, he doesn't name the Paul Weiss partner. It gets worse.
"In 2022, Paul Weiss hired unethical attorney Mark Pomerantz, who had previously left Paul Weiss to join the Manhattan District Attorney General's office solely to manufacture a prosecution against me, and who, according to his co-workers, unethically led witnesses in ways designed to implicate me."
"Unethical...manufacture..led witnesses..." This isn't a presidential executive order. It's a whine about his 34 felony convictions and openly says why the firm is being targeted. Even worse, Paul, Weiss had the temerity to hire Mark Pomerantz, twice. Witness tampering is a defamatory claim with malice. He doesn't get away with blaming it on co-workers in general.
"... unlawful discrimination perpetrated in the name of diversity, equity and inclusion..."
Trump has continuously tried to make a process that helps businesses not only function well, but to actually get the best people, which means by merit. In fact, they usually have to be better than white people. And that's what Trump sees as illegal. Anything that oppresses white people, whether it's in America or South Africa.
Trump then revokes the security clearances of everyone at Paul, Weiss along with Mark Pomerantz, using the word "suspend."
The Office of Management and Budget has to find anything that Paul, Weiss has to do with the government and take it away. Goods, property, material, services, and even any SCIFs.
Just like with Perkins Coie, all contracts are canceled. Any contractor doing business with Paul, Weiss must tell the Office of Management and Budget.
Again, just like with Perkins Coie, all employees of Paul, Weiss are banned from federal buildings under the guise of protecting national security. All agencies must limit any possible contact with Paul | Weiss employees.
It's the exact same retributions against Paul, Weiss as with Perkins Coie. Only the exact crimes are different, except for DEI.
There must be other law firms he will attack or just individuals. So far he hasn't attacked Roberta Kaplan, the lawyer for E. Jean Carroll.
He will be looking for ways to punish Letitia James, Fanni Willis and maybe even judges like Judge Engoron.
Then he could go after firms that represented the other parties in his 4000 other cases he's waged in his lifetime
Just yesterday, in his unusual, grievance laden speech at the Department of Justice, he singled out Marc Elias of the Democracy Docket (good article there today on the courts and the U.S. Marshals).
Marc had the temerity to challenge all his lawsuits that were lost after the 2020 election. He named Pomerantz yesterday and followed with the executive order. Now we'll see how he tries to take on Marc Elias.
The judge in the Perkins Coie case granted a preliminary restraining order for the three sections in Trump's executive order that their lawyers asked for. Still don't know why they didn't cover the other two about security clearances and DEI.
I expect Paul, Weiss to file a request for a restraining order within days. The way things are going, it seems like lawyers are doing things on the weekend, and judges, too.
125 cases against the Trump Administration are showing up today on the Just Security Litigation Tracker. 4 more than yesterday.
