I may or may not believe in or agree with any of these statements in any way, but we must always be allowed to say them freely. The Trump administration’s “antisemitism” free speech attacks are ironically what makes Trump more like Hitler than anything else. I strongly applaud the strong Jewish voices supporting free speech on this issue, but we need more, including especially from the most prominent leaders, politicians, and celebrities. Even those like Gal Gadot — sure, support Israel but speak up to support everyone’s right to criticize. Bernie Sanders has been great on this issue and Chuck Schumer needs to continue despite now being deemed “not Jewish” by Trump. Contribute to the ACLU — this is what they’re for — that guy can get a permit to march downtown with his anti-Muslim flag and swastika, and people can also march with anti-Israel flags.
