Update: since the public meeting of the vaccine advisory committee was cancelled, representatives of the CDC, FDA, and Department of Defense (!) met in closed session to decide to use the WHO selections of which strains to use for this fall's flu vaccines. So there will be vaccines, RFKJr can take a hike. He probably does less damage when he's away hiking.

A traveler came through LAX airport on March 5 in the evening, and is now a confirmed measles case. They also visited a nail salon and a grocery store while infectious.

In the past year, Europe had 32,265 measles cases, the vast majority of them in Romania. More than 27,000 of them. And of course the great majority were unvaccinated. Ten Europeans died of measles in 2024.

We aren't ready for the next pandemic.

The NIH cancelled dozens of studies into vaccine hesitancy and ways to increase vaccine uptake. Because they want us to get sick, apparently.
