x I've been waiting for some farmers to sue bc their IRA funding got held up. A group of largely organic farmers have finally done that. TY to @bloomlove.bsky.social for heads up. earthjustice.org/wp-content/u...

Moar good news. From a FIDJT appointee no less.

x NEW: A federal judge — Trump appointee Dabney Friedrich — became the first to reject efforts by DOJ to expand the reach of Trump’s Jan. 6 pardon to cover crimes that had nothing to do with the Capitol attack w/ @joshgerstein.bsky.social www.politico.com/news/2025/03...

x A federal judge adopts Mahmoud Khalil's speedy schedule for written briefings on motions seeking bail and an injunction — and notably, rejects the Trump admin's proposal for a slower schedule.

x In the birthright citizenship cases, #SCOTUS has asked the challengers to respond to the Trump administration's emergency applications by 4:00 p.m. (ET) on Friday, April 4, i.e., three weeks from today. I've *never* seen such a long schedule. Methinks that's a signal (and a bad one for DOJ). — Steve Vladeck (@stevevladeck.bsky.social) March 14, 2025 at 11:07 AM

You go girl!

x I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable. Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes. Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason. — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@aoc.bsky.social) March 13, 2025 at 7:46 PM

From Mr. Ali's article. Ocasio-Cortez mobilizes Democrats against Schumer plan as colleagues privately urge her to consider primary challenge. www.cnn.com/…

CNN — New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said Thursday that she plans to mobilize her massive base of followers to oppose what she described as an “acquiesce” by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to accept the House GOP funding bill. — New York Rep.said Thursday that she plans to mobilize her massive base of followers to oppose what she described as an “acquiesce” by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to GOP funding bill to advance. “I think there is a deep sense of outrage and betrayal,” Ocasio-Cortez told reporters in Leesburg, Virginia, where House Democrats are huddling for their annual policy retreat. She said she and her fellow Democrats are “texting, calling, sending carrier pigeons,” to mobilize the Democratic base against Schumer’s plan to allow theto advance. ✂️ Privately, House Democrats are so infuriated with Schumer’s decision that some have begun encouraging her to run against Schumer in a primary, according to a Democratic member who directly spoke with Ocasio-Cortez about running at the caucus’ policy retreat. Multiple Democrats in the Congressional Progressive Caucus and others directly encouraged Ocasio-Cortez to run on Thursday night after Schumer’s announcement, this member said.

Pelosi Statement on the Government Funding Bill in the Senate

March 14, 2025 Press Release San Francisco – Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi issued the following statement on the government funding bill under consideration in the Senate:

“Donald Trump and Elon Musk have offered the Congress a false choice between a government shutdown or a blank check that makes a devastating assault on the well-being of working families across America. Let’s be clear: neither is a good option for the American people. But this false choice that some are buying instead of fighting is unacceptable. I salute Leader Hakeem Jeffries for his courageous rejection of this false choice, and I am proud of my colleagues in the House Democratic Caucus for their overwhelming vote against this bill.

“Democratic senators should listen to the women. Appropriations leaders Rosa DeLauro and Patty Murray have eloquently presented the case that we must have a better choice: a four-week funding extension to keep government open and negotiate a bipartisan agreement. America has experienced a Trump shutdown before – but this damaging legislation only makes matters worse. Democrats must not buy into this false choice. We must fight back for a better way. Listen to the women, For The People.”

Here's something you can do. Call Congress & Remind Them: Immigrants Are Our 'Neighbors Not Enemies'! act.winwithoutwar.org/…

On Monday, President Trump signed a slew of executive orders (EOs) — and at least one of them indicates his intent to use the Alien Enemies Act (AEA) to fuel the horrible deportation machine he’s building. This is the same AEA the federal government used to put Japanese, German, and Italian residents in the U.S. into detention camps during the world wars. The Trump administration has shown, both through its Muslim ban in 2017 and dozens of extreme executive orders just days ago, that it isn’t our actions that define us, but simply where we or our grandparents happened to be born. That’s why today, we have a crucial moment to push further by reminding Democrats and Republicans that throwing out constitutionally protected rights doesn’t make ANY of us safer. Friend, that’s where you come in. Now and always, our job is to defend communities facing violence and injustice. One crucial way to do that today is by building support for Sen. Mazie Hirono and Rep. Ilhan Omar’s Neighbors Not Enemies Act. This bill would repeal the AEA once and for all — and close the legal loopholes that would enable Trump’s deportation machine. Please take a moment of your day to let your Representative know that you support this important bill, and need them to cosponsor it immediately. Think your member of Congress won’t listen? Call them! The worst outcome is if they allow Trump to weaponize the AEA because they think their constituents don’t care.

The Action Network website has a Tesla Takedown page, where you can put in your zip code to see protests in your area. actionnetwork.org/...Poke around their site a bit, they have other activities available, depending on what you want to be involved with.

x It's pretty wild to see what the Tesla Takedown people have built from nothing, totally organically in just two months. actionnetwork.org/event_campai...
