NO GAY OR TRANS PRIDE [1]

Just a quick one, Hy husband works for the VA and today he got notice that Gay and Trans Pride celebrations are banned from all federal facilities. Not that it was anything big or anything. We went to the first Gay / Trans Pride celebration at his VA and it was a small gathering with a few guest speakers. Most of the people who attended were senior administrators, making sure that it went off as expected. One of them was a woman that had just finished her surgeries at the VA. Over the past few years it had grown. Being in a hospital the people who stopped by were all employees that were on break, and did not have time to stick around, but it was nice. The VA even set a budget and assigned a committee for the celebration, and there was cake, decorations, and SWAG!
The VA has, for the past several years, celebrated Gay Pride Month openly and proudly. I have to admit that seeing Happy Pride messages on all the TV monitors around the hospital was really affirming of their dedication to all veterans regardless of sexual orientation. Although, my husband did attend a meeting, that he was invited to, wherein the prescribing of testosterone was discussed and the guidance was to limit the prescriptions to gay men as it might make them sexually active and then they might spread sexually transmitted diseases. Ya, that was a gut punch.
I am trying to get a copy of the email that was sent. So far what we know is that the Gay Pride committee has been disbanded and the budget has been reassigned. If I can get a hold of the email notification I will post more from it.
Well, it was fun while it lasted, but this is proof that they are coming after the LGBTQ Community. They want us back in the closet, and that ain’t happening.
