Available on the Internet Archive is a complete run of The Rebel Magazine, 22 November 1983 through 27 February 1984, an investigative gonzo journalism newsweekly published by Larry Flynt with the help of a freewheeling, unconventional staff of talented writers and editors.
This collection contains all eight published issues, along with a brief introduction from Don Ray, an investigative reporter who served as a Rebel contributing editor. The Rebel blazed like a shooting star across the journalistic scene and soon disappeared, and now a full set of copies is nearly impossible to find anywhere. But the publication's provocative and incisive contents have held up well over time and provide a time capsule of the mid-1980s era.
