If a Democrat’s opinion falls in the media forest and isn’t reported, does it make a sound? [1]

Front page stories in the New York Times (and presumably other “traditional” media outlets) about Traitor Trump’s assault on foreign and domestic programs and policies include quotes from Administration officials or Republicans, but comments from Democrats are — for the most part — conspicuously absent or minimal.

The other day, a Daily Kos piece by Bill Addis described a letter released by Rep. Jasmine Crockett which slammed Trump.

As Addis wrote:

”Strangely, the media didn't pick up on the release.”

Maybe not so strange.

While Democrats are getting a lot of deserved heat for their perceived (and real) timidity, the media have also placed a firm thumb on the scale when it comes to the skewed coverage and attention given to Republicans and Traitor Trump. This also contributes to the timidity perception.

The media playing field is not tilted in Democrats’ favor. Therefore, Democrats need to make it impossible for the media to not cover them.

Something more hard-hitting than holding up little paddles would be a start.
