Rich Yacht Guy: Puts Yacht in Danger by Comparing Cutting Fed Jobs to Cutting Cancer Out? [1]

He went there, he compared cutting the livelihoods of people performing necessary jobs in the Federal government to cutting out cancer and some excess “tissue”. I don’t know who rich old white yacht guy is, if I have time I will try to figure out who he is, but one thing is for sure, he’s pretty darn smug.

I screeched to halt when I saw Xaxnar’s headline because a few days prior I had caught the youtube video linked below where this rich yacht guy made his cancer comparison. It floored me, how brazen he was to sip his scotch on his yacht and say that. My husband happened to walk by and catch that bit. Without skipping a beat my husband said very calmly and matter of fact, “Well that guy’s boat will be the first to be targeted” and he went on to work in the yard.
Some folks said it may have been an accident in response to Xaxnar’s story. It’s possible but very unlikely. My dad was a vice commander in the Coast Guard Auxiliary for many, many years. We as family spent many days on the water. We had all manner of boats, including some that might be considered upper middle class cabin cruisers such as a 30’ Pacemaker Sport fishing boat. In all those years we never heard of, witnessed nor did my Dad respond to a multiple boat fire, not even after hurricanes had spent a day bashing the boats about in a marina. Fiber glass boats of the modern era are very fire resistant.
Could the arson stem from the same type of motives as the cybertrucks which have been vandalized? The tesla charging stations set on fire? Maybe, maybe not, but rich people do seem to enjoy putting their yachts in their mouths these days.
