I am SHOCKED to see Trump admin target Palestinian protesters. Who could have seen that coming?? [1]

In the news today a Palestinian protester/organizer, Mahmoud Khalil, was arrested on Columbia campus by ICE for supposedly supporting Hamas. And this may just be the beginning:
In a social media post on Monday, Trump said the arrest was the first of many to come. He vowed that his administration "will find, apprehend, and deport these terrorist sympathizers from our country — never to return again."
I can’t find any info about whether Mahmoud Khalil was one of the Palestinian protesters who opposed Kamala Harris for president. But there were MANY Palestinian protesters who did oppose Kamala and even supported Trump.
Even recently after Trump said he wanted to ethnically cleanse Gaza and turn it into a resort, Palestinian protesters said they were still happy with their anti-Kamala stance. They said they needed to “teach the Democratic party a lesson”.
And of course this whole situation evokes the “face-eating leopards” memes, with Palestinian protesters voting against their own interests, against the interests of Palestinians in Gaza, and against the interests of the USA and the word overall.
Now the leopards are loose! Personally I’ll still be happy to show up at protests to support the rights of Palestinian protesters even if they opposed Kamala.. ha, ha, ha, ha, kidding of course!
The “lesson” I learned is that Palestinian protesters would “cut off their nose to spite their face.” Sorry, that’s not really good enough.. how about “shoot themselves in the foot?” Nope still not good enough, need to invent a new phrase: “Walk into a family reunion and drop several hand grenades for no reason”.
Yeah, that last one seems right. Completely senseless destruction with no possible positive outcomes whatsoever. And it was totally 100% predictable.
