Trump’s Team of Sociopaths [1]

The common denominator for tRump/Musk/DOGE is to attack anything that smacks of “public” (as in public education, public health, public media) whatever is for the public, the common good, the community in order to equalize opportunity, level the playing field, protect against powerful interests - in favor of privatization and concentration of unfettered, unregulated power.
They want to privatize health care (ironic considering how the assassin of the health insurance executive is being hailed as a hero) so that access to health care is truly a privilege, not a right; public education (and get rid of teacher unions, education that teaches respect for others and critical thinking), the US Postal Service, so they can play footsy with mail-in ballots. They want to scrap Social Security, which was the single factor in cutting senior poverty and homelessness, cut the child tax credit, which under Biden, saw child poverty cut in half.
People are recognizing that there is a difference between business (soulless corporations with a mission to maximize profit for shareholders, owners, minimize benefits for workers, consumers, communities) and government, with a mission to level the playing field, create equal opportunity and the services that enable every citizen to fulfill their potential, and that a leader who is comfortable cheating suppliers and bankrupting businesses, suing and manipulating the courts to avoid accountability, that elevates other fraudsters, criminals and assembles a Team of Sociopaths (as distinguished from Lincoln’s Team of Rivals) who can be effective in destroying others’ lives for their own benefit because they get orgasmic pleasure from cruelty and whose only interest is getting more power and more profit, may not be the best for American society.
tRump is able to wield the power and wealth of a nation that was built by others, and will rapidly bankrupt the nation, destroy lives and send us back to the Dark Ages.
tRump/Musk aren’t just firing government workers who provide the services (tax info, health info, veterans health, administer emergency aid, do research to keep the US at the forefront of innovation and economic development), they have cut off the pipeline for new talent to go into public service, government, science and research and destroying destroying public education -“the great equalizer” for opportunity and the American Dream Trump has the audacity in his Orwellian doublespeak to say he is restoring.
His answer to inflation is to put so many people out of work, they will take any job at poverty wages; force women to have children that will not be educated or assisted with any disability so they will be a source of cheap labor, lower the age for child labor laws to kick in, make college unaffordable. Trump relishes the next pandemic to kill off pesky seniors, those parasites at the tits of Social Security and Medicare. Pregnant women dying for being refused emergency healthcare? Well, it is survival of the fittest, baby (and the fittest are the richest).
Trump will rapidly throw us into a dystopia, lay the seeds for one-party rule, that will take 25 years before enough are so fed up as to revolt, when millions will die in the ensuing civil war, as in every other civil war because he has the advantage of mobilizing a military and has his private militia, armed with assault weapons, he can summon at will against their fellow citizens.
His foreign policy is aimed at restoring the bad ol’ days of American Imperialism and colonialism, but in breaking ties with allies for national security (NATO), economic security (Canada, Mexico, the European Union) and literally bankrupting the nation, is designed to make the USA a puppet nation of Russia, while making China the world’s superpower (interestingly, employing the USA’s method of spreading capitalism and trade as “soft diplomacy” to tie other nations to us. (Prediction: China invades Taiwan in the next six months when the USA’s defense apparatus is the weakest and Trump has demonstrated he has no care to protect allies or adhere to treaties and commitments; the only thing that would deter is when Trump realizes China would become the Number 1 economy when it annexes Taiwan.)
People take for granted when government is working well, and never gave Biden the credit he so richly deserved for his policies which ended the coronavirus pandemic (1 million dead; Trump had no plan at all to get vaccines to people), turning the economy headed for a Great Depression into historic growth and long-term development, and the envy of the world, his rapid, efficient, effective response to one climate and infrastructure disaster after another (getting baby formula from abroad after factories shut down here for health reasons, a company defended by Trump’s new FDA food safety commissioner; I-95 bridge collapse; Baltimore port); cutting costs that more than compensated for greedflation that saw increases in grocery prices (50% of price increase were simple corporate profit), getting Big Pharma to cap the cost of insulin and other drugs, pressuring companies to end junk fees, prosecuting companies for price-fixing through the FTC and Consumer Financial Protection Board (that has without fanfare recovered $21 billion for harmed consumers) and kept corporations in tow. As Biden said, “capitalism without regulation is exploitation.”
Trump, the grifter-in-chief whose conflicts of interest and violations of the Emoluments Clause is epic, as he has made everything from domestic policy to foreign policy purely transactional and is replacing “public” with “for-profit”, has fired all the regulators, all the experts, ended all that regulation, all that prosecution, all that protection for consumers. Caveat Emptor – you’re on your own, baby.
The reason the WhiteChristoFascistNationalists embraced the useful idiot tRump to begin with is that through ignorance, greed, laziness, narcissism and plain sociopathy, he would do what no politician dared. Now, the reason they embrace Elon Musk is that he is a fellow sociopath – the richest man in the world who gleefully oppresses the weak, the vulnerable, the poor and who doesn’t know and doesn’t care about who and what he eliminates, but gets his rocks off wielding a chainsaw.
It takes a sociopath to pretend you care about the “millions” of people dying in Ukraine (due to Putin’s genocide), and then cut off military aid (literally turning around planes already in the air) and intelligence that is boosting Russia and causing thousands of Ukrainians to die; it takes a sociopath to award a 13-year old cancer survivor honorary appointment to the Secret Service, but cancel pediatric cancer research and treatment, let food and medical supplies rot rather than be delivered to starving, sick, poor people who had been receiving help from USAID; it takes a sociopath to terrorize mothers and children from going to school, hospital, calling the police.
Indeed, in just six weeks, the man who thinks he has the divine right of kings (“l’etat c’est moi”) and who quotes Napoleon, has overturned the fundamental pillars of a functioning democracy, most basically, the Rule of Law and any concept of “Equal Justice under Law,” because any sense of “equality” (diversity, equity, inclusion)– firing FBI, Justice prosecutors, Inspectors General - is anathema to the Masters of the Universe, the oligarchs, kleptocrats, autocrats, theocrats, and replaced it with the Golden Rule: He who has the gold, rules.
