FAFO at the Dollar Store [1]

This will be quick:

After working all day I was looking very forward to a few things: watching Severance, eating some left over pizza and keeping the coach from floating off into space. I just had to make a quick stop at the Dollar Store for a couple things.

On my way out I almost run into a gentleman on his way in. After mutual apologies he starts to complain to me about how his EBT card only has $.57 on it and his money didn't hit his card and it's been days.

I just said one word: "Trump !"

And in complete astonishment he said, "I know ! And I voted for that mother!@%$รท& too !!!".

I couldn't help myself. I said (loudly), "you voted for that dude over your own sister ? You voted for him ?" I caught myself there before I told him to "kick rocks, go hungry" because at this point he was clearly asking without asking for help. He explained that he's got a wife and they can't eat and he just wants to get some Ramen noodles. I gave him some money, scolded him AGAIN for voting for Trump, got it my car and left, pissed !

I don't have any point to make or any special revelation that would tell any of you what you dont already know. But it is still absolutely amazing how many Americans, how many poor Americans, have convinced themselves that they are just inconvenienced millionaires and Trump was gonna make it rain blessings on them. Its made even worse for me by the fact that he's Black. Before the election I was telling people, "look, I'm black. The mythological black Trump supporter does not exist. Harris will get the usual 92, 93+ of the Black vote". I've never been more wrong. At least not about a certain still relatively small but nevertheless decisive number of black men.

Anyway, black or white, these people are finding out. And part of me says, "good"

As I was leaving he thanked me and asked if he could call me sometime if he needed someone to talk to. I said sure, gave him my number, had him call it so I had his, then I blocked it as soon as I left!

I don't want to hear it. Glad to help. But I've got my own problems and one of them is that a Nazi is in the White House. The difference is I didn't vote for him. Kick rocks !
