Scorched Earth Policy For Public Lands [1]

The Trump crime family is planning a repeal of the 1906 Antiquities Act which protects national monuments. Senator Mike Lee(R-Utah) introduced S.220- Ending Presidential Overreach on Public Lands Act that would give the power to Congress instead of the president to protect public land (or not).
Trump wants to open National Parks, National Wildlife Refuges and National Monuments to oil drilling, mining, and logging. These public lands had 443 million visitors in 2015. These visits supported $45 Billion in economic output and about 396,000 jobs across the country. There are over 100 National Monuments ( some have become National Parks).
Perhaps you have enjoyed visiting these beautiful places. The Grand Canyon, Joshua Tree, Mount Olympus, Devil’s Tower, The Grand Tetons and Chaco Canyon are just a few of the National lands that will be coming under attack. They already have with the firing of so many National Parks employees. Some of your favorite vacation destinations will not be open because there won’t be enough people working there to allow all of the visitors in.
These lands have been saved by presidents for over 100 years for the American people to enjoy. They are places that foreign tourists come to see. They are places recognizable around the world of the beauty of the USA. Trump and his greedy cronies want to dismantle our country and sell it for parts to the highest bidders.
Please write, call, protest, tell your friends and family what is about to happen to our precious land.
