Do we need a New Leftist Party? Is it Possible? [1]

I want to hear your thoughts. I’ve been going to organizing meetings only a weekly basis for the past few years. There is continual frustration about the DNC. There is growing indifference between democratic voters and the party leadership. Local executive committees are turning into revolving doors or are usually not involved in the local political organizing or outreach.
We all know our system is designed to really only provide for two national parties — both of which are wildly out of step with the policy goals of many of its members.
I keep hearing from people an urgent need for a new party — A US Labour party or A National Democratic Socialist Party. Personally I think its more manageable and achievable (kind of) to push the existing Democratic Party into a generally Left wing Party.
Frankly I think when we live in a nation were nearly 65 percent of surveyed voters support — single payer insurance, paid family level, etc. We should have a national party that is actually addressing those economic needs.
But would love to hear your thoughts because I always do!
