Lies, Applause, and More Lies [1]

How do we have a sitting president blatantly lying in real-time about things that can be fact-checked in seconds—and yet nothing happens? No consequences. No accountability. Just a chorus of enablers clapping like trained seals because they care more about power than truth.
And the Republican Party isn’t just complicit; they’re actively encouraging the deception. Instead of governing, instead of working on real policy solutions, they’re participating in a reality show where their main role is to prop up his delusions and feed them to their base.
What’s worse? His supporters eat it up, even as his policies actively harm them. He’s gutting their rights, their social safety nets, their economic opportunities—but as long as he keeps feeding them the lies they want to hear, they’ll cheer for their own downfall.
At what point does this become unsustainable? At what point do the lies become so egregious that even his base can’t ignore them? Or are we just stuck in an era where truth doesn’t matter anymore? The answer is yes. Except not everyone has figured it out yet.
Case in point.
