WisDems launches The People v. Musk campaign [1]

NEW: Elon Musk is trying to buy Wisconsin’s Supreme Court, spending millions to install bought-and-paid-for MAGA extremist Brad Schimel.
Today, WisDems launches a campaign to punch back: The People v. Musk.
Musk can buy a lot of ads. In fact, in its quest to put Schimel on the court, Team GOP is now outspending Team Dem.
But Judge Susan Crawford—the candidate Dems support—has an advantage GOP money alone can’t fix.
Voters are FURIOUS about Elon Musk.
What Musk is doing (which Trump and just about every Republican elected official is publicly supporting!)—to Social Security, the Veterans Administration, health care, and so much more—is absolutely toxic.
In our internal polling, among Democrats likely to vote in the spring Supreme Court election, 1% approve of Elon Musk.
How many disapprove? 94%.
I’ve never seen anyone so loathed.
If Brad Schimel wins the Wisconsin Supreme Court, Musk—and Trump and their friends—will have unchecked power in Wisconsin.
They’ll overturn elections. Rig maps. Unleash the 1849 abortion ban—a law Schimel supports.

If Susan Crawford wins, then Wisconsin’s Supreme Court will continue deciding cases based on the law, instead of the whims of far-right billionaires—and we’ll know that, in the nation’s tipping-point state, voters—not judges—will determine who wins elections.
We have to elect Susan Crawford and beat Brad Schimel because it affects the future of Wisconsin, and the fate of American freedom and democracy.
But there’s something more, too.
We can demonstrate that fighting back against Musk is powerful politics.
We can make clear that Musk and MAGA aren’t invulnerable.
We can demonstrate to any Republican counting on Musk to save them from an enraged public is building a house on quicksand.
We can show that the American public has had more than enough.
It’s not just that Musk has a Tesla lawsuit against the state of Wisconsin working its way through Wisconsin’s courts. It’s his belief in his impunity. The same belief that leads him to rake in $8 million a day from US taxpayers while shredding services they need.
Musk has fired the public servants who keep our planes in the air, keep food safe, track deadly diseases, monitor nuclear stockpiles, and protect veterans.
He wants to deny a job to a public servant, Susan Crawford, who simply wants to rule fairly.
But Musk doesn’t get to make this decision.
If the 42 days since Trump’s inauguration have made you want to rip out your hair, you now have a way to fight back. Let’s make April 1 a turning point. Let’s make Musk’s millions backfire on Brad Schimel.
