I’m sure we’ve all seen (if indirectly) the stickers MAGA types put on gas stations that blamed high prices on Biden.
Now that Trump’s tariffs are beginning to wreak havoc, it might make sense for anyone living in a purple/red location to print off a few dozen stickers saying “Trump Did That” or “Trump’s Tariffs Did That” and attach them next to price labels for imported products now getting 25% more expensive.
People can tune out the real news and choose to see only the propaganda that pleases them, but almost everyone needs to shop at some point, so those stickers would convey the message to them in perhaps the only place they would ever see it.
There are various images online to choose from, or it could be strictly text. Anything that connects the dots from them voting for Trump to them paying two dollars for a tomato.
Maybe some entrepreneur could sell them online.
Or a Democratic campaign could mail them out to donors and activists.
Cheap, easy, and (just maybe) effective.
Edit:
As stevemb points out below, many entrepreneurs have indeed already produced a plethora of such stickers: search for “trump i did that stickers”.
A quick perusal shows stickers such as these available. (Disclaimer: I’m not associated with any of the vendors, and merely picked two images semi-at-random from the search results.)
