The main picture is of the Blood Tribe marching in Springfield before JD Vance made his comments about the Haitian immigrants eating cats. But, they had already heard about the influx of Haitian immigrants in Springfield and started a campaign of hate.
Things became worse after JD Vance made his comments about Haitians eating cats, and Trump amplified them into cats, dogs and all pets.
August 10, 2024.
You'll notice in the second picture that there they are carrying firearms openly. That's because it's open carry in Ohio. Not against the law. However, they were seen pointing the weapons at people and at cars.
Politifact called it "The Lie of the Year" for 2024.
On Feb.6th, Springfield Mayor Rob Rue, along with several city commissioners and Springfield residents, represented by the Anti- Defamation League, Paul Weiss and the law firm Taft, filed a civil lawsuit against Blood Tribe and its leaders, seeking compensatory and punitive damages for harassment and intimidation they launched on the citizens of Springfield starting in July of 2024.
AI generated dangerous silliness.
The filing in the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, said Blood Tribe waged a months long campaign of intimidation and harassment against the City of Springfield, it's officials, and residents who took issue with their persistent attacks on the local community.
The Blood Tribe conducted a campaign for what they described as an "invasion" by Haitian immigrants that was a threat to the "good White residents" of the city.
After the Blood Tribe's march, there were 33 bomb threats across the city targeting schools, hospitals, private residences, and government buildings. Then they begin a campaign of harassment against private individuals.
The plaintiffs cite the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871, which makes it a crime to deny individuals of their civil rights. The compensatory claim is for the thousands of dollars spent on extra security as the Blood Tribe campaign expanded. The punitive damages would be decided by a jury. It should be enough to wipe out this chapter of the Blood Tribe, but there are six more regional ones in the U.S. and two more in Canada.
From the ADL:
Blood Tribe's goal is to normalize the swastika, usher in a resurgence of Nazi ideas and ultimately build a white ethnostate, occupied, controlled and led by "Aryans." It holds rallies where members carry swastika banners, give the Nazi salute and shout the Nazi chant, "Sieg Heil!" Blood Tribe leadership recruits members, assesses membership dues, charges fees for participation in events, solicits donations and sells Nazi-themed merchandise.
A complete backgrounder on the Blood Tribe by the ADL is here.
Nine counts were filed for conspiracy to violate civil rights; failure to prevent interference of civil rights;public nuisance; telecommunications harassment; menace; incitement to violence; ethnic intimidation; conspiracy and intentional infliction of emotional distress. To make the point even more emphatic, they want a jury trial.
Additional actions the lawsuit alleges against the group include harassing voicemails, hateful emails and social media posts demeaning the plaintiffs, and their families. The complaint says that group members also used dating apps to send men looking for drugs and sex to the residents' homes late at night and publicized their personal information with the intent of getting others to join in the harassment.
No court date or filing deadlines are available on the case. ADL has no update besides the press release of Feb.6th.
The Haitian Bridge Alliance case filed against Donald Trump and JD Vance over their deliberate disinformation campaign against the Haitian community in Springfield has seen no action since the case was taken to the Ohio Supreme Court over undo preferential treatment given to Trump and Vance in Municipal Court on November 1st.
