Canadian PM Trudeau to Americans,"Your government has chosen to do this to you." [1]

A dear friend of mine in Quebec encouraged me to listen to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s address this morning in response to Trump’s punitive 25% tariffs on Canada. Trudeau addressed his people and Americans, reassuring Canadians they will weather the trade war storm and telling Americans “there is absolutely no justification or need whatsoever for these tariffs today”, detailing how FOTUS’s actions will hurt the American people.
PM Trudeau then pointedly addressed “Donald,” at first acknowledging their past partnerships — even flattering FOTUS as “a very smart guy”. Trudeau then pivoted, bluntly telling FOTUS, “this is a very dumb thing to do”.

My friend mentioned that PM Trudeau followed his address with a press Q&A, which I can’t find online. In my friend’s words:
The question period is alarming. JT does not mince words. Says that the aim of US tariffs is to “sink the Canadian economy to prepare the country for annexation”.
This is all disturbing news. But FOTUS’s idiotic tariff wars are going to sink his approval ratings like a rock. Tragic thing is, all Americans, Canadians, and Mexicans will be collateral damage.
