Boycott Day - Week 5 [1]

The goal is clear to me. Make them realize what is happening isn’t acceptable. Make them stop their illegal actions before the midterm elections. Hopefully, get some businesses to stop investing in assisting all the malfeasance.
I observed NoSpendWednesday as usual and NoSpendFriday, the 28th.
Now I’m seeing calls for a boycott every Friday. It seems to me that Fridays are more difficult as a boycott day for many people who might get paid and do their weekly shopping on Fridays, hoping to get some actual time off during their weekends. Also, some folks get paid once on the last Friday, like the 28th was, making me wonder if many of them may not have participated but would’ve on any other day of the week, but who knows? I wish all success.
Last week I kept as much of a running list as I could bear to, but even as I thought about things the fElons are doing, I knew there were at least two others I wouldn’t be able to examine. But it is exhausting to keep one’s head in all that dissonance for long, so this week I limited it to the lowlights. YMMV.
Some of the CORRUPTION I’m protesting this week:
MSNBC cancelling Joy Reid, Jonathan Capehart and Alex Wagner, getting the diversity out. Tired of stupid sports analogies for the most serious political issues of our time: it’s really NOT a game. I am sick of bromancer and wannabe hip-hop fanboy Ari Melber.
Head of DOGE - Amy Gleason… Wait, what? That’s what she said when she was informed while on vacation in Mexico. Did you forget about this? Five minutes reportage and then, crickets.
And speaking of DOGE- Why are any of the ‘firings’ happening? If it’s illegal, it’s illegal, right? THIS is why so many citizens can’t take Democrats seriously. If it’s illegal it’s a crime. If it’s a crime, why are any of us having to go along with it?
Since so few of us understand civics, perhaps Dems should have someone explain what the next steps are, legislatively and lay out the long term path on a weekly basis. It’s weird that the misdemeanor of being undocumented here is understood to be illegal by the simplest of us, so how is it that hurting fellow citizens and destroying the country isn’t? I’m not expecting our institutions to save us. So far it seems all our ‘rules’ have been used against us, binding us with our own respect for the law while unleashing their lawlessness.
Elected Russiapublikkkans are doing traitorous work for Putin. Surely, someone will do something soon…
English as the official language- This might seem harmless to some but, it’s really destructive to endangered languages, such as our own indigenous languages of N. America. The fact that any of them have survived until now should be celebrated.
Plus, the Rs really love uneducated children, so long as they’re yours.
Friday’s National face palm- The Shillbilly and the Donvict gang up on Zelensky. Trump thought his vulgarity made some great t.v.. It made me sick twice the first time I saw it, so I won’t re-post here.
Trump said, “You’re not going to win.” That sounded like confirmation of the pre-determined outcome of their dog and pony show for the TASS reporter, who may have been told to make sure you’re rolling when I say, ‘Last Question.” That’s when JD pinned Zelensky’s arms behind his back so the President of the USA could punch him with his tiny hands. Similar to how Pete Hegseth’s order to U.S. Cyber Command to stop all efforts against Russian cyber attacks lines our nation up for the cyber gut punch from Putin that we all know is coming. Thom Hartmann confirms much of what has seemed so obvious, even if we couldn’t know all the mechanisms or technicalities.
Reporter Brian Glenn’s rude questions regarding Zelensky’s ‘unacceptable’ attire was a classic Russiathuglikkkan wrong footing tactic. It was like Junior High School all over again when girls would gang up on another girl premised on the lie, “I heard you called my mama a bitch!” No spoken response would deter their assault either.
Thanks for Tim Snyder’s eloquent statement on The Five Failures of the Oval Office.
Thanks to Jasmine Crockett on Alex Witt’s show Sunday because she gets it.
Sunday Republicans on Sunday a.m. shows continuing to toe the line, as well as the tone deaf Republicans claiming that townhalls were hijacked or that any dissenting voices were paid actors. Waa, waa. Pffffffft! Not hearing them denounce the Brownshirts in Couer d’Alene.
Speaker Mike Johnson scolding Zelensky, saying he must apologize and be more grateful… sigh. Trump is actively undermining Ukraine, but thanks for that?
I’d like to extend the sentiment Jasmine Crockett had for the Ketamine Head to everyone currently engaged in efforts to destroy the U.S.A.
Until next week, Cheers!
