The Mump-Trusk-Shvantz administration continues to go bonk-bonk-bonkers. Zelenskyy must express 'regret' for volatile White House meeting: Trump national security advisor.
"What we need to hear from President Zelensky is that he has regret for what happened, he's ready to sign this mineral deal, and that he's ready to engage in peace talks. I don't think that's too much to ask," [NSA Mike] Waltz said.
“He has [to have] regret.” Really. Maybe he regrets walking into a pre-planned ambush led by Vance, who normally wouldn’t have been present at a meeting between heads of government. Maybe he regrets not getting up and walking out when they started shouting at him. Maybe he regrets inviting Vance to visit Ukraine. Other than that, yes, Mike, it is too much to ask.
The Mangled Mussolini just reinforced that demand: Trump tells ABC that Zelenskyy should be 'more appreciative'
"Well, I just think he should be more appreciative because this country has stuck with them through thick and thin," the president responded.
While I was finishing this diary, WSJ broke this news: U.S. Hitting Brakes on Flow of Arms to Ukraine:
The Trump administration has stopped financing new weapons sales to Ukraine and is considering freezing weapons shipments from U.S. stockpiles, moves that threaten Kyiv’s ability to fight at a critical time in its battle against Russian forces, current and former U.S. officials said.
I guess that’s what Trump thinks is “thin” support?
Meanwhile, he is taking the pressure off Russia to talk with Ukraine: US Is Considering Easing Sanctions on Russia After Trump-Zelensky Meltdown.
Other than the usual Trump sycophants and the Russians, the rest of the world is taking Zelenskyy’s side. Does that mean they have to express “regret” for doing so before Trump will condescend to talk to them? Will Trump impose tariffs on the UK until PM Starmer expresses regret for having called that emergency summit?
Was Starmer's summit enough to sway Trump?
Was this gathering of European powers enough to shift the diplomatic dial? Or had the United States made up its mind to go it alone on finding a ceasefire in Ukraine? The prime minister's answer was very much that Europe still had a role to play. He said the UK, France and others would work with Ukraine on a plan to stop the fighting and then discuss that plan with the US.
Will King Charles have to express regret for meeting Zelenskyy — and for not saying a word about his lack of a suit?
The King greeting President Zelensky so warmly and publicly, on a visit to Sandringham, was an important message of solidarity that he had not been abandoned and that there was still support for Ukraine, three years after it was invaded by Russia. King's pivotal role in Trump and Ukraine balancing act
Will all those European leaders in the photo above have to express regret for even meeting with Zelenskyy, much less promising to support him against Russia?
