Now I am become Dearth, the Destroyer of Wealth [1]

For those Americans with core values and moral compasses, I hope you’re grasping the pain of all those Americans losing their jobs. Even if some of them voted for Trump, there’s a part of you underneath the schadenfreude that senses what they’re going through. They’re fellow Americans. And they’re in a pickle right now. Here’s hoping Never Trumper Nation doesn’t rub salt in their wounds.

But we’re all hurt by this. What most Americans not directly victimized by this insanity don’t know is that every American is economically deprived because of what Trump is doing. These firings are seriously retarding American wealth creation. Here’s how…

We Americans invented the expression to make money, meaning what one does for a living. Yet none of us mint coins or print currency. Rather, it’s understood that this is what we mean by our livelihood. This odd usage never existed in any other language. It’s strictly an American invention. However, few of us give it any thought.

Because Donald Trump is hell bent on destroying the livelihoods of thousands of people, this is a good time to take a hard look at what making money really means.

When we do honest work, or we start a business and make it grow, we literally make money. That is, we create wealth that did not exist before we did the work.

The easiest and most timely way to understand this is to consider farming. A farmer interacts with the land by cultivating food crops that did not previously exist. If he’s successful, he will produce a harvest sufficiently ample to make a living. The crop he sends to market is wealth that he created by way of his own effort. In effect, he made money. So did everyone he employed.

This is true for each person who brings home a paycheck by performing almost any sort of honest work. Such working Americans are not simply exchanging their time and effort for a paycheck. They are adding to the wealth of the nation and the world.

In other words, Trump’s mass firings are literally retarding the middle class creation of American wealth, and lots of it.

Donald Trump’s immigration raids are directly destroying much American farming. Farms across the nation cannot harvest their crops because they depend on the very people Trump’s ill-conceived Nazi-like raids and roundups are driving underground. Crops are already rotting because Trump drove away their workers.

Policies so hostile to economic growth and stability could only come from America’s worst businessman ever who became our dumbest president ever.
