The government funding bill is in a couple weeks. Republicans control the House, Senate, and Presidency. Not a single Democrat is needed to keep the government open. And not a single Democrat should vote to keep this government functioning in its current trajectory.
Republicans are solely responsible for voting in this majority and Republican leaders are the ones who need to display their ability to govern responsibly. If not, then Republicans should be the ones to demand change and pledge to vote for better leaders.
Democrats need to do nothing more than keep shouting this from the rooftops. Provide zero votes. Don't bail anyone out. Just point your fingers at those who are truly responsible. The only campaign message they need is to pledge to oppose everything Republicans are doing.
No tariffs.
No appeasement.
No cronyism.
No corruption.
No DOGE.
The only common ground Democrats should offer is to join Republicans in a vote to impeach and convict this administration of high crimes and misdemeanors.
