Dems can make a bold statement by attending the SOTU, exiting it & with their official reponse [1]

Democrats should attend the State of the Union speech.
All of them.
Once all of the hoopla is done and he begins to speak, they should walk out.
But why go at all you ask?
Because their leaving the speech will get much attention than not showing up at all.
Because their leaving the speech, getting that attention and then gaining media desire to ask questions outside of the Capitol will be much greater than not showing up at all.
..because attending and then leaving will most assuredly piss off Orange Caligula who will stewing and flailing from that moment on. He won’t be able to focus like he would otherwise.
Once outside, the Democrats will make statements.
They can and should highlight the unprecedented damage done by him and Musk in destroying our government. Be real and in talk in ways that matter, not about guacamole prices.
They should clearly state why attacking Ukraine and all of our allies is terrible for us and for global stability.
Then again at the official response, all Democrats should be in attendance to cheer on the response and give the usually forgotten responses much need life and energy.
The same issues should be brought up. These messages need to be simple, clear, concise and often.
Can you imagine the attention and energy that this would create?
We are in unprecedented times. This would be extraordinary. This would be easily doable.
This will help the worried majority see that they hear us.
An important part of fighting this bullshit, is controlling the narrative, getting the truth out and getting oxygen in general. It’s mostly been the clown car 24/7 for the past 6 weeks and really since the election.
When was the last time Democrats owned a new cycle? When was the last time that the trump/musk/gop show narrative has been really disrupted?
