In the video below, Nicolle Wallace asks Susan Rice, former Ambassador to the UN and National Security Advisor for Barack Obama, her reaction to Trump & Vance’s disgraceful verbal/emotional abuse of Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Yes, it was a set-up, she answers, and an attempt to humiliate Zelenskyy which he did not go along with because he has dignity, he has decency and he democratically represents his people. But the Oval Office disgrace was also Trump & Vance’s expression of “fealty” to Vladimir Putin.
Nicolle Wallace asks “Why?” And Rice goes there. “[Trump’s] end game is to undermine the security and stability of the United States… all to the benefit of our adversaries.” She lists off examples. I confess I have been baffled by some of Trump’s more bizarre moves, such as blowing up the USA’s relationship with Canada — now I see how they all tie together. They’re all about weakening the USA diplomatically, military and economically. I didn’t previously see the national-security advantage of USAID: to prevent extremism by easing hardship abroad.
Interesting point she makes, as I didn’t know this: European countries have provided billions more in military aid to Ukraine than the USA has. “They are going to have to continue to carry the load,” Rice says, in conclusion, “while the United States casts its lot with Vladimir Putin.”
Update: In response to a point made in the comments, yes, 100%, it is treason.
