Welcome to Street Prophets Sunday Coffee Hour. This is an open thread so grab something to drink and sit a spell and let us know what is new with you. I have always been fascinated by outer space. Here is a mini tour of our solar system.
Jupiter and Io
Io is the most volcanic body in our solar system.
Saturn and Titan
Titan has an atmosphere that is mainly methane.
Saturn and Enceladus
The Casini probe discovered the building blocks of life in this moon's geysers.
Venus
You could cook a pizza in 15 seconds on the Venutian surface it is so hot.
Jupiter and Europa
Scientists speculate that life could be possible under the layer of ice on Europa.
Neptune and Triton
Dark and mysterious Neptune is in the outer reaches of our solar system.
Uranus
Sometime in its past Uranus got knocked over on its side.
Call of the Wild
And here on earth we have our silvery moon.
Jupiter Rising
My super smart grand nephew told me that if Jupiter were this close earth would be torn apart. I told him we were safe because of poetic license. He rolled his eyes at me.
