Get-out-in-front: Trump will try to send US troops to fight alongside Russians against Ukraine [1]

A Get-out-in-front diary--
In Jan. of 2022, President Biden predicted that Russia would invade Ukraine.
In Feb. of 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine. This getting-out-in-front of events provided the forewarning that people in Ukraine, in the EU, in the US, and NATO needed to seriously consider the imminent threat and ramp up preparations for Russia’s invasion. What was supposed to be a 3-day blitzkrieg was transformed into a 3-year slog that has killed numerous Ukrainians and Russians and is crippling the Russian military and economy.
(Major, major hat tips to annieli, Mark Sumnor, quaoar, and many others on Daily Kos who have been keeping us all apprised of the Ukraine/Russia conflict!)
We are now in need of other get-out-in-front predictions to slow or ameliorate the upcoming fecal weather events.
Clearly, President Trump has displayed that he feels no ethical or moral obligation to help the US or its people. The only obligation Trump seems to possess is to aid President Putin of Russia and enrich himself and his oligarch supporters.
I predict that sometime within the next 6-12 months, Trump will order US troops to fight alongside Russians in Ukraine. The justification(s) could be varied. Trump may suggest that US Troops are on a peace keeping mission to save lives. Trump will suggest the US role will be to stop the fighting, which will predominantly secure Russia’s illegal invasion and occupation of Ukrainian lands. Most of the US military efforts will be to stop Ukrainians from defending their lands. Alternatively, if the flow of EU arms compensates for the loss of US arms shipments, Trump will state he is trying to prevent WW III by sending troops to the region. Again, the efforts will most likely be one-sided. Or perhaps, Trump will simply declare that the US and Russia once allied to fight the Nazis and now is the time to re-kindle that alliance for the good of humanity. Any which way, the justifications will be empty and meaningless. The actions of abandoning our allies and supporting our enemies are what matters here.
My question is ultimately to the US military. How will you respond when ordered to fight alongside the Russians? Will you justify the taking of sovereign land by an aggressor? Is there any line that Trump may cross indicating you have been given an illegal order and will not obey? It seems to me you need to be considering the possibility of being ordered to fight alongside the Russians.
Think about it.

Finally, in my first diary (after being a very long-time lurker) I would like to issue a plea that others at Daily Kos add the “Get-out-in-front:” moniker when elucidating the ulterior motives they perceive for the current US regime. There are so many great minds and passionate members in the Daily Kos community. It is my hope that we can help neutralize some of the propaganda and disinformation being fed to our society by calling it out upfront and taking away some of the crisis response and panic inherent in the current WH occupant’s chaos mode of operation.
Perhaps being prepared for the next outrage and encouraging a sort of meme immunity, we could help galvanize people to focus on our shared values/beliefs and not the latest lies used to justify autocracy and criminal behavior.
