I'm sitting here listening to Yuja Wang: Brahms Piano Concerto No. 2. I started watching her on YouTube several years ago. I watched for several hours before I turned off the mute button, and I've been listening and watching ever since. There's a "Yuja Wang Through the Years" feature on YouTube which shows excerpts of her performances beginning at age 8. She may well be the greatest pianist of all time. How would I know though. I'm no connoisseur of great music. But if you figure in looks....
My perverted mind reflected on discussion of greatest basketball players of all time (Jordan, Bird, Chamberlain, James, several others) and baseball greats (Otani enters the discussion lately) and it occurred to me that we are in the midst of a world with the GOAT of conmen. (He's so good at his craft we don't even have to say "conpersons" anymore.)
Seriously, can you think of anyone throughout history who comes close to owning 77 million voters of a democracy while in thrall to a dictator?
To me, it seems as if he was destined for this role, just as Yuja Wang was born to become a piano virtuoso. He had to have the right parents who would raise him- knowingly or unknowingly - in an environment that would make him into a psychopathic narcissist of flawless proportions, dull-minded but no trace of empathy for another human being. He even wound up on a television show that would make morons believe he had some credibility as a business magnate even though he had multiple bankruptcies.
I suggest we add the moniker GOAT to each title we give he-who-shall-not-be-named: GOAT Supreme Shithead, GOAT Tinyhands, GOAT Criminal Rapist, and so on.
