They Truly Do Not Give a F*** About You (White) Folks [1]

This will be relatively brief. I wish I knew more about psychology and how it determines our political beliefs, but here it is.
An Alternate Interpretation of U.S. History
As has been documented in Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States , the M.O. of the wealthy and/or powerful has been to sow division among the peoples of the world, up to the point where those people would not cooperate sufficiently to create a fair and just world.
In most cases, the wealthy were adept enough at creating these divisions that groups of people fought each other, rather than with those manipulating them. Indentured servants resented slaves for doing their work for nothing. In the Antebellum South, it was the early white working class holding these resentments …. you’d think that the wealthy plantation owners would have been successful in creating their slave-owning nation, but Lincoln temporarily prevailed. Then the working class whites continued to be cultivated by the wealthy to see the freed African-Americans as less than human, to keep attention off of what they were doing to diminish all not wealthy enough to get into the “club”, contributing to the violence and even destruction of successful Black communities from Wilmington, NC and Rosewood, FL to Tulsa, OK during the peak of post-WW1 revival of racial violence. Lest we forget, a KKK march in Queens, NY in 1927 resulted in the arrest of DJT’s father Fred … though there is some question whether he had direct involvement.
Can This Inform the Messaging to Help the Poorest 99%?
How many people know about this history? I know that I didn’t when I was in junior high, high school. or college (maybe because I didn’t major in the social sciences or humanities). Given the state of education in the U.S. today and the assumption that the U.S.A. is exceptional in some way, this take on how the rich have fought, with varying success, everyone else throughout our history isn’t broadly discussed.
How could we capitalize on this megalomaniacal behavior of the rich (as a class, there are exceptions) to unite the rest of us? What’s the message we could give to the People of the U.S. that would acknowledge their real pain and distress, not sounding like elitists who don’t really give a f*** about them, either, at least not without conditions?
I think it’d have to have compassionate content (I feel your pain, in so many words), relate stories about how their pain relates to ours. The stories we tell will need to show how the real villains here, people like Trump, Musk, the Koch brothers, Mellon-Schaifes, and so on ….. are the reason that we all are anxious, afraid, and losing hope that the world can be fair to us. The message will vary by the group or problem addressed, but must point to the devils whose greed and lust for power will be the death of the world unless we do something to take on and defeat the world that they are actively creating.
