Kos has a diary on the front page about Trump voters complaining because the leopards are eating their faces. There were some Ukrainians who also had some warped ideas about Trump — that he might just be better for Ukraine than Biden.

There was a lot of anger in Ukraine toward Biden and Jake Sullivan for not doing enough and not doing it fast enough. They figured Trump couldn’t be worse. They were wrong.

This guy Ford argued that Zelenskyy should have handled Trump better. The response to him cites the folly of “Trumptimism.”

x Unfortunately I am setting out how the Trump administration sees things. I wish they didn’t and wish they would freely and wholeheartedly support Ukraine. Their actions on Friday, however, betrayed the reality of the situation. — Dr Matthew Ford (@warmatters.bsky.social) March 1, 2025 at 9:40 AM

x Ok, fair enough. My block of flats got bombed in Pokrovsk this week (was bound to happen, but the timing didn't help) & I am really pissed off. A lot of pro-Ukraine podcasters were peddling "Trumptimism" & it is now clear that was idiotic. That really got to me too. I always knew Trump would be bad. — іван з України (Technology United for Ukraine Activist) (@techunitedukraine.bsky.social) March 1, 2025 at 9:52 AM

The podcast community that was ostensibly on our side, all started a negative feedback loop amongst themselves that the Biden/Sullivan "escalation management" was worse than taking a chance with a degenerate like Trump, forgetting, a President Harris would have been more hawkish & rock solid for us.

Trumptimism has not only vanished now, it is being replaced with anger towards the United States.

x Ukrainians and allies donated 14 million hryvnias in just 12 hours to support the purchase of "nuclear weapons", according to Monobank co-founder Gorokhovsky. This illustrates the mood in Ukraine right now perfectly.

x I still have a little bit of faith and it’s exclusively due to Americans who vocally and radically oppose this — Mira of Kyiv 🇺🇦 (@reshetz.bsky.social) March 1, 2025 at 1:43 AM

I disagree with this. Tell Trump to fuck off.

Let him stew about having made himself irrelevant inside of securing a peace deal.

Of course, that won’t happen. European leaders will instead push Zelenskyy to kiss and make up with Trump.

x It is reported that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has asked President Zelenskyy to restore his relationship with President Trump and the US government.

x You can see two views developing. One: Trump was set on ambushing Zelensky & Ze can’t now prevent abandonment. Two: onus on Ze to “repair” relationship w/ Trump because still a lot to lose (see Rutte below). Latter likelier to be dominant among Eur leaders tomorrow. www.yahoo.com/news/natos-r...

x President of Poland Andrzej Duda said that "President Zelenskyy should return to this table [in the United States]" "In my opinion,if one is able to bring about an end to the war in Ukraine, only the United States has such potential;no one else. It’s impossible to defend Ukraine with words," he said

This is going to happen anyway. They just needed a convenient excuse like the Fight House Clash.

Another video where Russians complain that they aren’t being treated right.

They seem to think there must be some mistake that they are walking around with canes and crutches but are being sent back to the meat grinder.

x 1/2: "Right now they want to send us to Ukraine - to die. We ask for support, we don't want to just die. Some have children, we have disabled people here, everyone is wounded, sick. This is outrageous!" ASTRA Media: On February 28, a group of... #OSINT #Russia #UkraineWar

Today they are signing up the dregs of society. Tomorrow they’ll be signing up livestock.

x Russia's mobilization "referral" system turned into a scam. Groups recruit alcoholics and people with mental disorders to sign contracts under the "bring a friend" program. But the real issue isn’t just fraud—military offices eagerly accept them and boast about exceeding quotas.

[image or embed] — WarTranslated (Dmitri) (@wartranslated.bsky.social) March 1, 2025 at 7:29 AM

Scammers are dragging alcoholics, people with cerebral palsy, and psychologically unstable individuals into signing contracts. Regions are signing contracts with them to exceed their quotas. Due to the huge payouts for signing contracts and the "bring a friend" campaign, entire fraudulent groups are operating in some regions. They gain the trust of alcoholics, antisocial individuals, and people with mental health issues, delivering them to military enlistment offices to sign contracts. Fine, scammers will always find a loophole-that's something law enforcement should deal with. But what about the recruitment centers? Do they even see who they're signing contracts with? Or are they so blinded by the desire to report success and present nice numbers to top leadership that they don't care?

Rest in peace.

x 🕯Today, people on the Maidan paid their last respects to Ethan Hertweck. A 🇺🇸United States citizen and a veteran of the US Marine Legion who fought and died for 🇺🇦Ukraine, near Avdiivka.
