BROKE: The Non-Trumpist Counter to Woke [1]

For years, the right-wing has warned of a grave and insidious threat to America —one so powerful, so unstoppable, that even billionaires, corporate executives, and sitting U.S. senators live in constant fear of it.
This menace?
A Black woman on a Disney show. A rainbow flag on a Bud Light can. A library with too many books.
Yes, that’s right. We’re talking about “woke.”
But here’s the thing: the people who scream about “woke” the loudest never seem to be able to define what it means. That’s because “woke” isn’t a threat to them — it’s just a distraction.
The real crisis in America isn’t “woke.”
It’s BROKE.
Because that’s what Trumpism — and the Republican Party as a whole — has become:
Broke in ideas.
Broke in morals.
Broke in credibility.
And, ironically, broke in the bank accounts of the very people who support them.
Let’s break it down.
B – Bankrupt Morally, Intellectually, and Economically
The Republican Party once claimed to stand for economic prosperity and personal responsibility.
Now? They stand for screaming about M&Ms in the middle of a banking crisis.
They cry about “woke corporations” while begging billionaires to exploit them.
They praise Trump’s economic “genius” while ignoring that he bankrupted a casino.
They rail against “elites” while worshipping a man born into wealth who wouldn’t let them into Mar-a-Lago without a cleaning uniform.
They don’t have policies — just grievances.
R – Reactionary to the Point of Self-Sabotage
The modern right doesn’t stand for anything — they just rage against whatever progressives support.
If liberals say climate change is real, they buy more gas-guzzling trucks to “own the libs.”
If progressives say vaccines save lives, they refuse to take them and literally die to prove a point.
If Woke says, "Diversity is strength," they rush to make their movement as angry, white, and male as possible — ensuring it dies with its aging base.
At this point, they’d boycott oxygen if they thought liberals were using too much of it.
O – Oppressive, Obsessed with Culture Wars, Incapable of Governing
They don’t fix infrastructure or improve healthcare , but they’ll ban drag shows, books, and history with lightning speed.
Their entire identity is based on what they hate because they have nothing to offer the future.
They scream “Freedom of Speech!” but boycott companies that don’t conform to their fragile worldview.
They’re not about protecting rights. They’re about controlling everyone who isn’t exactly like them.
K – Kleptocratic, Cruel, and Constantly the Victim
They cheer on billionaire tax cuts and then complain when their roads, schools, and hospitals fall apart.
They believe Trump is a self-made man — when in reality, his father gave him a fortune to get started, he stole from his donors, left unpaid workers in his wake, and scammed his supporters with a fake university.
They bully, harass, and threaten violence, then claim they’re the “real victims” when consequences arrive.
And when their policies fail? They blame immigrants, LGBTQ people, and teachers.
E – Extreme in Every Way Possible
Their policies aren’t conservative — they’re radical authoritarianism wrapped in an American flag.
Their "Christian Nationalism" is just white supremacy with a Bible verse.
Their rage is performative, their policies are punitive, and their vision for the country is straight out of a dystopian nightmare.
The party of “small government” now wants to control what you read, who you marry, and what medical care you can access.
They don’t want limited government — they want a government so powerful it dictates your personal life.
Trumpists Aren’t Fighting Woke — They’re Just BROKE.
BROKE isn’t just a political strategy — it’s a condition.
Broke in spirit.
Broke in ideas.
Broke in credibility.
Broke in every way except the one that matters—actually being broke.
Because the ultimate irony? The people pushing “anti-woke” policies are getting richer, while their supporters are getting poorer, angrier, and more easily manipulated.
And that’s exactly how Trump and the GOP like it.
