Vaccines Falsely Blamed for Measles Outbreak
The Children’s Health Defense has led the charge spreading conspiracy theories and anti-vax lies.
This is RFK Jr's group...our new HHS secretary who should be held in contempt of Congress for lying to the committee about his beliefs with regards to access to vaccinations during his nomination hearings.
The overwhelming majority of children infected in Texas have been those unvaccinated. At least one child has tragically died so far - the first measles death in the United States in at least 30 years.
Measles was considered eradicated in the year 2000. It was, that is, until hard right anti-vax conspiracy theorist profiteering sharply increased and vaccination rates dropped. RFK Jr has been among those so profiting and has had a direct hand in spreading these conspiracy theories and deadly lies. (See RFK Jr in Samoa where about 80 children died in 2019)
Experts saw Samoa's plunging vaccination rates as a crisis. RFK Jr. saw an opportunity.
New details show how Robert F. Kennedy Jr., then chair of an anti-vaccine group and now Trump’s pick for health secretary (now Secretary of HHS), sought to exploit a deadly vaccine accident.
There's no excuse. None. RFK Jr is now the head of the Department of Death by Non-Vaccination for Childhood Vaccine Preventable Diseases
And the MMR vaccination does not - DOES NOT - cause autism. But children who do not get vaccinations for preventable childhood diseases are at risk, as are those who care for them and are around them, for death and disability.
