MapQuest has a sense of humor [1]

The battle over Gulf of Mexico and Gulf of America isn't over yet.

MapQuest was a holdout, as of seven days ago, in leaving the Gulf as the Gulf of Mexico, while Google Maps and Apple Maps caved in.

Now they've got a webpage up, gulfof.mapquest.com, that allows you to rename it to anything you like, like I did for Daily Kos, and download the result.

On MapQuest's Instagram account, they describe the fun.

"Because you TOTALLY asked for this ... and MapQuest wants you to feel PURE joy ... we've granted you exclusive access to a place dear to our heart..." gulfof.mapquest.com.

Will Trump find out about this?
