Make Your Own Megaphone, Part 5 [1]

Hi all, this is an ongoing series for people who are writing letters to their Congresspersons. In terms of amplification the experts say that calling is best, so I call as well. But, based on my experience working in a state legislator’s district office for a couple of years, amplification also kicks in when they get something in writing, whether it’s by email, their online contact form, or U.S. Post.
Letters are useful for formulating your own thoughts, and you can share your words to help other people write their own letters.
For those of you represented by Republicans, a letter can also help you learn how Republicans convince their constituents that they are doing a good job and everything is fine. If you get a response (mine has already responded four times), you can use their own language to reply back to them.
I wrote to my Republican Congressman last week after Trump called President Zelensky a dictator. They responded, and I wrote back this morning using a line from their letter (bolded):
Dear Representative -----
Thank you for your letter of February 25 addressing my concerns regarding support for Ukraine. I hope the upcoming talks between President Trump and President Zelensky meet your expectations regarding the importance of supporting Ukraine and our allies abroad.
Regardless of the outcome, the ability of our nation to support our interests abroad, and at home, have been severely compromised by Elon Musk and his “DOGE” team. Whether acting on his own or on orders from the White House, the impact is the same: chaos, confusion, destruction of public resources, and a colossal waste of taxpayer dollars. The future of our homeland will continue to be at risk until Constitutional order is restored to our government and Elon Musk is removed from the White House, declassified as a “special government employee,” and barred from any further authority, in any capacity.
My concerns are shared by many, including your colleague in the Problem Solvers Caucus, Representative Gerry Connolly, who has joined with other Democrats to raise awareness about profound security breaches engineered by Elon Musk’s “DOGE” team.
As a member of the Problem Solvers Caucus, do you share the concerns of Rep Connolly? Have you discussed Elon Musk’s authority over our government with Representative Connolly, or other members of the Problem Solvers Caucus, or with the New Jersey delegation?
