If we allow people to continue to demonize immigrants, trans people, and other minorities, we will all suffer. It is the same play book today, but Facebook and X are the soap boxes that these people are using. Because misinformation moves more quickly today, things are happening faster today than back then, they are already attacking so many of these institutions: the free media, colleges, unions, etc.
This film details how the Nazis exploited racism and bigotry to take over, just as it is happening today. I don’t think we are taking this threat seriously enough—but they sure seemed to take it seriously in 1943, of course after the Nazi regime had already caused so much pain.
