Trump and Quisling [1]

I recently watched a compelling Norwegian Netflix drama about Vidkun

Quisling, the infamous traitor of Norway. I found it to be a pretty

good dramatization.

There's an interesting parallel between Donald Trump and Vidkun

Quisling. Both figures betrayed the free world and their own nations,

aligning themselves with fascist dictators.

However, there's a notable difference. Eighty years post-Quisling's

execution for high treason, discussions have emerged about whether he

was merely a traitor and opportunist or perhaps a complex, misguided

individual.

In contrast, I believe that 80 years after Trump's passing, historians

and dramatists will still find him to have no depth. No

matter how they analyze his character, it may reveal little more than

a superficial, narcissistic grifter. Nothing more.
