Nagging Thoughts a Day Our Nation Cries

Cries are Loud but Unheard by Many

The nagging of the world. America has turned away from our ideals. The resurgence of the racism, xenophobia, and greed, stain our future. Prejudice has motivated and pushed aside our desire to fight corruption. Our desire to preserve a healthy world. Our desire to stand for freedom and democracy. Our respect for the individual over the corporation. Our inalienable human rights are valued no more. Now we are subservient to tech-bros wanting AI to establish a soul-less bureaucracy. No other time in American history exceeds the irony of our current day.

As we panic ourselves into a fiscal crisis, we are eating the poor to feed the rich. A pragmatic reminder, when the Clinton-Gore administration ended, our nation had no deficit. We were paying down low term accumulated debt. Gore and his lock box were ridiculed out of victory with help from the SCOTUS. Gore won the popular vote by a wider margin than Trump did last November. The Republican controlled Congress and W. Bush administration decided tax cuts, not debt repayment was the course for our ship of state. Of course, they promised they would pay for themselves, but they never have. The Reagan tax cut created a deficit and every tax cut enacted, since the Make America Feel Good Again Era, has added to the deficit. Coupled with deregulation, the irresponsible tax cut policies have created economic set backs (recessions and depressions). Obama came into office after a massive meltdown and over eight years our economy returned to growth and lowered our deficits. The first Trump infection returned increasing deficits. Trump’s only major bill gave tax cuts, eighty percent going to the wealthiest. Once again deficits grew, then a Covid triggered recession. During the Biden administration deficits were curtailed and the economy recorded steady growth. Now the wealthiest will lose their Trump tax cuts, a new draconian budget must be enacted. Right wing distortion has conditioned a near majority to accept eating the poor (not the dogs and cats) to continue those tax cuts. It is all a smoke screen to give our nation over to the rule of the authoritarian oligarchs. AI will administer government. We all love AI handling customer support. Pick your issue and our support team will link you to the proper FAQ. How can your issue not be on the list we have listed every human need an AI robot can imagine. We are programmed not to trouble the Tech Bros in their luxury fortresses.
