Dilemma: What to do with your Tesla

So let’s face it, after careful research many progressives decided a Tesla was their choice for an electric vehicle. Based on reliability, features, and other factors, it was a perfectly logical choice.

Perhaps at the time the man who bought the company, Elon Musk, appeared to be a visionary. After all, he’s been involved in some very cool tech: Tesla, Spacex, and Starlink all have pretty amazing technology (whether or not Musk is responsible is some other post). Who knew the guy would go full fascist and start dismantling our government? That just wasn’t predictable, even after he started playing un-repentant racist on X.

Certainly that wasn’t predictable, so please don’t blame yourself if you bought a Tesla, or perhaps use Starlink.

But what’s to be done?

Destroying the vehicle makes no sense, even if you could afford to do so.

It’s probably a bad time to sell it, as values are likely dropping. And not particularly sensible if you will need to replace it (star’s donating them to charity is all well and good, but most folks just can’t afford that). And other than expenses for maintenance and repair, Musk already has your money.

Here’s my suggestion. Keep your investment, it was a good choice at the time. But carefully remove the Tesla logo from the front and rear of the vehicle. This will very clearly register your distaste and regret to the public.

You can buy plastic putty knives that will help do this with out damage and won’t reduce your resale value (you might even be able to stick it back on when you go to sell). Or you could simply cover the logos with duct tape.
