Democracy and a Consitution disappeared in 53 Days and it Can Happen Again [1]

This is a short diary, but after being told nearly daily that I am overreacting to trump’s hostile takeover of our government, I wanted to point out some facts about how facsism came to Germany almost a century ago.
92 years ago on January 30, 1933, Adolf Hitler was became the chancellor of the Weimar Republic. In one of, If not the, the blitzkrieg of political transformations in the history of democracy, Hitler began destroying a constitutional republic by the very constitutional means that document provided. Hitler systematically disabled and dismantled Germany’s democratic institutions and systems in less than two months, to be precise one month, three weeks, two days, eight hours, and 40 minutes.
Trump, with the help of Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg, Russia, and the cronies he shoved through Congress’ approval…. is on pace to make the same things happen here in what has been the greatest democracy in the world up until his first stint in 2016. Granted it will be different and likely longer, but the goal is to break democracy.
Our Democrat leaders, and many of us, are simply not doing enough and it is going to be to late to wait for the 2026 mid-terms, which are in real danger of not being carried out legally/without direct Republican intervention in fair elections.
We currently have few/no John Lewis’s (Schumer is a GD joke and other than Warren, Sanders, and AOC, its been crickets) who recognize this is a war on Americans and democracy itself, and that we need to get into good trouble, arrested, slow down and stop what is happening at city, state, and federal levels. The guardrails have failed thus far and we need to show up and out en mass.
