"Due to new regulations being put in place by the Federal Communications Commission that begin on April 1, 2025, the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office has determined that it will no longer be feasible to keep and maintain the inmate phone system in use at the Baxter County Detention Center. An inmate phone system is a means of communication that may be provided for inmates at a detention facility, but it is not required to be provided by law.

Therefore, on March 30, 2025, the current inmate phone system (SECURUS) will become non-operational. Any inmates or other persons who have purchased pre-paid time for use with this system will need to use up that time by March 30th."
