Where our tax dollars go [1]

I am aware that the vast majority of Daily Kos readers are already aware of the facts about federal spending. But for those of you who have relatives, friends, acquaintances or colleagues who hold the ridiculous-but-common belief about where their tax dollars go, you can save the title image and email it to those who need the information. If you don’t have their email address, you can print it out.
Note: A draft of this image used the phrase “ignorant regressives”, but I changed it to “misinformed people”. I’ve come to realize that we are better able to educate people if we can refrain from insulting them. (I know how difficult that can be!)
The 18th Century French author Voltaire said: “Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.” So, we all need to refute absurd disinformation with the truth. We won’t get through to everyone, but if we can puncture the ignorance of some of the misinformed populace, we will have a fighting chance of saving our country.
