Not That I Loved Caesar Less [1]

The Dow Jones average lost 1.75% on Friday after losing 1% on Thursday. The Dow Futures for Monday are headed for 800 points down at the opening bell. Corn and Soybeans are getting clobbered. A near 7% Dow loss in a week. The efforts of the King and his fool’s activities have ignited and inflamed Americans of all stripes and some of the loudest noises are coming from former loyalists.
“If you push something hard enough, it will fall over.” – The Firesign Theater. Newton’s third law of motion says for every action there is an equal but opposite reaction. The King is triggered by a poll, but the real poll is there for all to see. Wait until the summer heat hits the cities.
For most Americans it’s like waking up in the night of the living dead. The zombies have taken over the government. There is no anger quite like the anger of a mark, once they realize they have been conned. Oddly, the very same people who sacked the Capitol on January 6th are among those pissed off again. The former Vice President; the one the King tried to have killed now calls the King out with the enthusiasm of Bernie Sanders.
Bernie does remind me of Winston Churchill. After a decade in the wilderness, Bernie’s been warning America what could happen. Conservative Republicans voters now flock to his meetings. It’s not just that people are angry and scared, it’s how they are angry and scared. The wool has been pulled from their eyes, and they’ll want blood if not somehow satiated. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice and I’ll kick your fucking ass! Tis the insult which ignites the anger.
Elon, poor, poor Elon, just the one world to live on and no way to get off of it permanently. Elon squeaked out how he faced credible death threats every day. (He’s so brave!) He claimed to be the second most hated man in America and was somehow sort of proud of it. Paging Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine, Dr. Howard! That sounds a bit off center if you ask me. Elon, not being born in this country or educated in our school systems, never learned the lesson of the JFK assassination or Julius Caesar for that matter. If they really want to kill you, they will kill you. They killed the President of the United States, and you’re safe somehow because?
And like Caesar, as the wounds are generated, support is evaporated. Money won’t save you when you cost some contractors hundreds of millions of dollars and their futures. If you live behind locked gates, you’re in prison and it doesn’t matter how fancy the digs or who pays the guards.
This is only the lightning and not the thunder and two years isn’t a lifetime. The fire lit under Republican Congressman should slow things down considerably. The natives are in a foul mood and looking for something new to add to the menu. If The King and his fool continue in this vain, they could risk removal. They have cut the legs out from under themselves and are losing their base. Trump supporters are making public apologies as they try to put the fire in their hair out.
USA, USA, USA! Wait a minute…You guys are Nazis!
And the award for the WORST actor in an International role goes to. Drum roll please! Donald Trump in, “Pretending to be a Statesman.” The gripping true-life drama of Willy Loman. Con man, President and Russian dupe. But even if the IQ’s do only have two digits it is still difficult to change sides in the middle of a war. They’ve been trained since childhood “Russia” BAD! Everything, not Russian GOOD!
Suddenly, the United States appears to be on the wrong side, and everyone in the entire world can see that. The King calls Zelensky a dictator and the remark falls flat. Like a joke that’s inappropriate or farting in front of the Pope. The King’s first hint, he’s one toke over the line.
There are no guarantees everything will work out. Only that there is a chance, everything will work out. This is the first crack in the ice. A snake pit environment will bring leaks, defectors and tell all books.
Firing the Chairman of the Joints Chiefs comes only after asking for his polite voluntary resignation. His firing is a message to all the military. He wanted me to do illegal acts, and I would not. The great divide; support the King or support the Constitution? If you go to work for the King, chances are your military career will be over. If you stand against the King, your military career is over. It isn’t a question of leaving the party, but how you wish to leave the party.
It is a common problem in Fascist parties. Commerce over conscience and largess and laziness over legality.
In the Wall Street shuffle kerfuffle oil prices have dipped to zero American profit levels. Remember? Drill Baby drill? Downward economic activity adds to downward pricing pressure and the return of Russian oil to the world market would be near catastrophic.
No promises for happy endings. The future is up to us. “Not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome more.”
