Trump is following that roadmap. Now is the time to stop him. Now is the time if we want to avoid catastrophic decimation to the rule of law and democracy within our own constitional republic. Now is the time to stand up, step up, and enforce the oaths and the laws set forth in our Constitution. Otherwise, the avoidable bloodshed and devastation will be unfathomable, and our failure to act unforgivable— a failure that will live in infamy, perpetually illustrating the consequences of inaction.
The ongoing actions by Trump and Musk are not just premeditated. They demonstrate intent to act in ways that they were prevented from acting previously, enabling them to accomplish things which require dismantling the guardrails of democracy and justice in order to pull them off.
They are planning to take actions they know are unacceptable.
We cannot allow them to achieve their goals — they’ve already undermined and destroyed so much, and weakened — or outright removed — the guardrails which others told us would keep them in check.
We know the general outline of their plans: they published it in their manifesto, just like other terrorists and psychopaths.
The only questions that remain are “What are we going to do about it?”, “When will we and/or our ‘leaders’ finally take action?”, and “How can we resist and push to end this before it gets even worse?”
Trump’s arrogance, anger issues, narcissism, ignorance, and laziness are on full display, and completely engaged. Musk’s thirst for unbridled power is in high gear. The relatively high level of incompentence wielded by both man-babies are a good indicator that their grand plans will likely go off the rails, but not before they get a lot further along in their planned destruction and disassembly of any potential brakes or means to hold them accountable.
In spite of what we’ve been reassured from Democratic leadership, we can’t wait for mid-terms. Resistance must begin now. And we have to raise our voices, at the very least, to push those who can still act on our behalf into taking this seriously and acting sooner, not later.
