I’m still binge-reading; but I also managed to figure out how to deal with my computer problem all alone by myself. Amazing how much better I feel in just the couple of hours since that happened.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. It's also so we can find other Kossacks nearby for in-person checks when other methods of communication fail - a buddy system. Members come here to check in. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we and your buddy are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care! IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

The Social Security Administration’s Slam the Scam Day in March 6. There’s information about protecting yourself on the website. All things considered, I’d recommend a grain or two of salt, but this will probably be useful.

I am tired of trying to get my modem to behave. It’s got to the point where I have the password to check the connection memorized, and it always claims to be connected; but the computer keeps having fits.
This has not been a good week. Yay.
My new pillows that were delayed largely because of the Los Angeles wildfires have arrived. One good thing this week — they’re really nice to sleep on.
I canceled this month’s chiropractic appointment. My chiropractor is a friend from when we had voice lessons from the same teacher before I had grandkids — she really doesn’t deserve the pissy mood I’m in. And then, I spent half the night on the can because something yesterday didn’t agree with me.
My daughter is driving down to Los Angeles to harass her father about his health issues. She left this morning.
There’s a new item where I’ve been checking my modem’s connection — to reboot the modem. That seems to have made my computer happier.

Love you guys!
