Amerika: the Lesser Evil [1]

Canada is pissed off at us, booing at our national anthem, and then winning the 2025 4 Nations Face Off, a hockey tournament featuring Amerika and three of our former allies: Canada, Sweden, and Finland. Good on Canada. No 51st state there. Instead, Canada has become a Sanctuary State, as immigrants who can make it are crossing illegally into Canada, and… they are being welcomed with compassion. Actually, millions of Americans are jealous because they wish they lived in Canada right now.
Greenland has absolutely no interest in Trump placing another Amerikan flag there beyond the one located at the U.S. research station, Summit Station, located above the Arctic Circle. Of course, Musk may fire all of the researchers there, or Greenland may eventually disinvite us.
Most of the world will never recognize the Gulf of Amerika, especially now. Hell, some nations may make maps that eliminate Amerika altogether, replacing it with a Black Hole and a sign that says, “There be lesser dragons here.” Now, the Associated Press is suing the White House over their reporters being removed from daily coverage because the AP has refused to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico within their worldwide organization.
The President of Panama has made a deal with the U.S. to take immigrants and refugees from any country as part of Trump’s mass deportation efforts. If he thinks that doing this will end Trump’s lust for the Panama Canal, he will be sadly mistaken.
Since Trump has made it clear that he has no respect for our allies, they are slowly turning their backs on Amerika. Europe has no choice but to create a new alliance that supersedes NATO for their joint defense. Given Trump’s rejection of Article Five and his encouragement of Russia to invade any country that was not “paying their dues,” NATO will become the “New Amerika Trump Office”—a closet-sized organization with no allies, located in Trump Tower, because as Trump famously said, “I alone can fix it.”
Trump wants to have Russia added back to the G7 to restore it to the G8. It will likely become the G2, with just Putin and Trump talking to each other daily—Trump’s dream, the world’s nightmare. The other countries will be better off without those two. Let’s face it: Canada, European countries, Japan, South Korea, and others have always thought that Trump was a boor and a bore—crude, ignorant, crass, uncouth, rude, obnoxious, brash, and vulgar. They could barely tolerate or respect him.
The Five Eyes (FVEY) was the name of the intelligence alliance between Amerika, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. It would become the One Eye, aka Cyclops because Trump couldn’t keep a top secret if his life depended on it.
The G20 will also be forced to confront Amerika’s self-imposed decline, a chaotic mix of tariffs and isolationism. China will seize the opportunity, drawing more nations away from Amerika and into its Belt and Road Initiative, the massive global infrastructure and economic development project launched in 2013. As more countries align with China for trade and investment, their economic dependence on Beijing will grow, further diminishing Amerika’s influence on the global stage.
Now, according to Trump, based on Putin pulling his puppet’s strings, Ukraine started the war—another Big Lie. Not only that, Trump wants 50% of revenues from Ukraine’s rare earth minerals, oil, and gas in repayment for U.S. support of the war effort. It looks as if Zelenskyy will be forced to accept the deal, but Trump will eventually exact more. A Ukrainian soldier stated that Ukraine should side with Amerika because it is the “lesser of two evils.” We have fallen so far in just four weeks.
What does George W. Bush think of this? The Bush who decided to keep his hands clean by not saying anything during the 2024 Presidential campaign? The Bush who, in 2002, used the term “Axis of Evil” to call out Iraq, Iran, and North Korea as terrorists? What does he think of the new Axis of Evil led by Amerika (actually led by Russia, but Putin will let Trump believe that he is the big dog)?
As Trump alienates Amerika’s allies and embraces his autocratic impulses, the world is shifting in ways that will leave Amerika isolated, untrusted, and diminished. Nations once bound by shared values are now seeking new alliances as the global order is reshaped without Amerika at the center. What was once the beacon of democracy is becoming the “Lesser Evil” — a tragic, Trump-inflicted downfall. Each week of Trump’s destructive temper tantrum will take years to repair, if ever.
