A very precise mortar strike on two Russians in winter camp.

WARNING: Video shows the Russians getting blown up.

A Russian soldier takes video as a drone blasts his tank in Tokmak.

x A Russian soldier in occupied Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia (more than 20 km from the front), decided to film a Ukrainian FPV drone circling above a hangar. However, the final shot wasn't for the archives — the drone flew straight into his tank.

Bavovna.

When you are supposed to be the second best army in the world but your soldiers are using DIY rocket launchers.

Russian soldiers near Pokrovsk get chewed up by Ukrainian drones.

x In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian occupiers advancing to combat positions near Vyshneve came under a massive attack by Ukrainian drones. As a result, several groups of Russians suffered losses, with three killed and several wounded. Full video: t.me/wartranslated

I don’t know the circumstances of this encounter, such as whether this soldier is behind the lines or with a large group, but generally speaking a soldier who begs for mercy should be given the opportunity to surrender when feasible.

x While Trump is busy "negotiating" with Putin, Ukrainian special forces from the "Sharp Caps" group of the 2nd separate unit of the CSO "Omega" captured footage of a Russian occupier begging for mercy on their drone camera.

Italy steps up.

x Italian defence watcher NichoConcu reports that 'many' B1 Centauro's 'wheeled tank destroyers' are indeed on their way to Ukraine. Italy has a total of 259 in service after 141 were decomissioned and delivered to Jordan previously.

My initial thoughts about this war that Russia is waging at the bottom of the Baltic Sea were that Western countries’ response has been weak, that ships should be seized and other measures taken.

But then it occurred to me — all those mysterious explosions aboard Russia’s shadow oil tanker fleet. I figured maybe it was Ukrainian agents. It’s certainly not coincidence. But maybe this is covert action from those same Western nations. Maybe we are watching a secret war going on.

Just my theory. YMMV

x A suspected new undersea cable break has occurred in the Baltic Sea off the coast of Sweden’s Gotland Island, according to the country's coast guard.

Ukraine’s new anti-naval-drone naval drone. It’s getting hard to keep up.

Does this mean they will eventually have a naval drone that destroys naval drones that go after other naval drones?

x 1/2: The latest modification to the Ukrainian marine drone fleet is designed to destroy enemy marine drones or small surface vessels. It has a domestically-produced TAVRIA-14.5 remote-controlled unmanned combat turret armed with a 14.5 mm KPVT machine... #OSINT #Russia #UkraineWar

It has a domestically-produced TAVRIA-14.5 remote-controlled unmanned combat turret armed with a 14.5 mm KPVT machine… gun and commercial-grade marine surface radar that is mounted on what appears to be a modified Sea Baby hull.

How about a drone that uses anti-tank mines as wheels?

Or how about a drone-missile with a range of 200 km that only costs $4,000

x The Defense Tech Innovations Forum 2025 was held in Kyiv, where the Trembita drone-missile was presented for the first time. Flight range up to 200 km, warhead - 20 kg, speed 150 m per second. Cost - 4,000 dollars.

This is what I’ve been predicting — massive swarms of cheap drones that overwhelm expensive air defenses. That is already happening to a smaller degree in Ukraine’s attacks on Russian infrastructure.

x 🐝🇺🇦 We will see how drone swarms work this year, — Fedorov “There are already a dozen companies working on this, we are constantly testing it at testing grounds. I think this is a prospect for the near future,” he said.

Because if there is one thing that Russian soldiers are good at, it is humiliating and torturing people.

Link to story.

Ukrainian women taken as prisoners of war are being tortured and humiliated by Russian soldiers in a systematic campaign of abuse, survivors have revealed. Some have been subjected to cruel degradations, including being forced to march naked in the snow and expose themselves to their captors. The Telegraph tracked down four women who agreed to speak out about the months and, in some cases, years they spent in captivity. Their testimonies reveal the brutality with which Moscow’s forces treat the Ukrainians they have captured, providing evidence of what are almost certainly war crimes. “They led us to the showers with bags over our heads, where we were forced to undress. We had to walk naked in front of the men and everyone else, bent over, through freezing cold water,” said Larysa Kycherenko, 53, who served in Ukraine’s National Guard. “Afterwards, we were forced to sing the Russian anthem while naked. We returned to the cells in tears, utterly distraught, crying and in a state of hysteria… It was inhumane. To them, we were nothing.”

This is unfortunate news.

An interesting essay that postulates that the problem with Russia losing so many armored vehicles lies in Soviet military strategy.

The fact is that in all 70 years of its existence, the Soviet Union never mass-produced a single model of armored vehicles suitable for the type of warfare currently being waged. The Soviets had a different concept: a horde of Soviet soldiers had to move across Europe scorched by a nuclear strike, so light armor had to protect soldiers from radiation, and intense infantry fighting was not expected.

For a few weeks there Trump seemed like he might start out with a more cautious approach to the war than people expected. But he just couldn’t hold the hate in any longer.

This Kellogg dude isn’t going to last very long.

I see him lasting eight or nine Scaramuccis, then being pushed aside or quitting and eventually writing a book about what a moron Trump is.

x ⚡️🇺🇸 US Special Envoy to Ukraine Keith Kellogg called Zelensky a "brave and courageous leader of a nation at war" and reported a "long and productive day" with Ukraine’s leadership. He mentioned "extensive and positive discussions" with the president and his "talented national security team."

[image or embed] — NOELREPORTS (@noelreports.com) February 21, 2025 at 8:41 AM

At this point Zelenskyy needs to just tell Trump to fuck all the way off.

This is a start.

The US further embarrasses itself in world forums.

x This is a complete disgrace. The U.S. is refusing to co-sponsor a U.N. resolution that backs Ukraine's territorial integrity and condemns russian aggression. Wow. Dear Ukrianians, I am so sorry for the current US administration, who chose to side with war criminals.

Trump is almost as good a master strategist as Putin.

x ⚡️🇩🇪🇺🇸 German Foreign Minister Baerbock threatens the U.S. with a severing of ties over Trump’s remarks on Zelensky and Ukraine. "We will increase pressure on the Americans to make them realize they have a lot to lose if they stop supporting Europe's liberal democracies," Baerbock stated.

I certainly hope this isn’t true. Even I didn’t think he’d stoop this low.

Here is war criminal/Russian inmate Girkin’s take on the current negotiations. He thinks Trump is going to fuck over Russia.

Well, unfortunately, the amount of information available about the content of these talks is "close to zero"—our diplomats are "radiating routine optimism," but they are saying absolutely nothing concrete on the main issue (as of today). That is, the prospects for ending hostilities remain "shrouded in the fog of war." Trump, too, is "radiating optimism," but for him, this is only natural: the U.S. has achieved a major foreign policy success simply by managing to "monopolibe the role of mediator," which in diplomacy is quite a significant achievement in itself. Let me remind you that the last time the U.S. mediated a peace agreement between Russia and its military adversary was over 120 years ago-at the end of the Russo-Japanese War (which concluded with the Treaty of Portsmouth, signed on U.S. soil). As for what exactly the U.S. has presented to Russia as its conditions for a "settlement," I-like everyone else-do not know. I can only suspect that these conditions are "not very favourable for us"—which is likely why they are not being disclosed (at least for now). I completely disagree with some of my correspondents and "co-inmates" who claim that "Trump will give us Ukraine in exchange for an alliance against China." I am confident that Trump will "give" us nothing at all, but he may "take a lot" in return for the mere possibility of an "honourable capitulation" and promises to forgive everything (which, in reality, cost neither him, the U.S., nor the American establishment anything at all). At the same time, Trump will not hinder his NATO allies and may even provide more active support to "Ukraine"-as a "stick" to pressure Moscow into making precisely the concessions and decisions that suit the U.S. and Trump. Some people are actively celebrating the fact that "Ukraine is not a party to the negotiations." Yes, that is indeed the case. However, no one can deprive "Ukraine" of its status as Russia's military adversary—a country that, after three years of war, has not only avoided defeat but, by this point, is able to stand against the Russian Armed Forces on equal footing (or nearly equal, which is essentially the same thing). Therefore, it is still too early to "write Ukraine off" (or, more precisely, its leadership and political elite) -whether Washington (and Moscow) like it or not, they will have to take Kyiv's stance into account. And its position is clear-"no territorial concessions" (at a minimum). The situation could (and should) have been changed by "dramatically raising the stakes" and decisively defeating (or at least inflicting a heavy defeat on) the Ukrainian Armed Forces. But as far as I understand, Moscow is not even considering this anymore -- which in itself weakens our negotiating position.

Trump’s legacy will be the destruction of the Atlantic alliance through the erosion of trust.

x 🇩🇪🇬🇧🇫🇷 German chancellor candidate Merz, after Trump's threats to abandon Europe, called for negotiations with France and Great Britain on nuclear defense. 🗣️ Europe has finally woken up, it's a shame it's so late, and I hope there will be concrete actions soon! ✊ What do you think? 🤔

Yes, Putin is a cancer. Maybe Tillis should go tell Trump that.

x 🇺🇸 Senator Thom Tillis, just back from Ukraine, called Putin a “cancer” and “the biggest threat to democracy.” He stressed that Putin sanctions the killing and torture of civilians.

Maybe Putin should start auctioning off his palaces.

x Russia: To divert funds for the invasion of Ukraine, at least 160 state hospitals, clinics, medical centers, pharmacies, maternity hospitals and other medical institutions were closed in various regions in 2024.

x Russia: The 8,000 surveillance camera system of St. Petersburg is updating the facial recognition software to automatically classify subjects by ethnicity to more easily hunt down non-white people (to send them as cannon fodder to Ukraine).

Do you ever get the feeling that Trump is holding an auction — who will bid more for US support, Ukraine with its mineral wealth or Russia with its oil. And, of course, whoever makes sure Trump and his cronies get the most generous finders fees and such.
