You know, Dr. Martin Luther King DID have other words than just "I Have A Dream". Here's some from one of his last books, "Where Do We Go from Here: Chaos or Community?" (1967):
“But they are balanced at the other end of the pole by the unregenerate segregationists who have declared that democracy is not worth having if it involves equality. The segregationist goal is the total reversal of all reforms, with reestablishment of naked oppression and if need be a native form of fascism.”
1967. He, and others, thru the lens of outward racism towards Black Americans, could share this, almost as a prophecy to this country’s future. And now we got MAGA folks having regrets.
Regrets? It ain't what they say, it's why you did it in the first place!
Yes, the only bit of decent news to me, is watching the flock of MAGA find out the hard way their Marmalade Headed saviour...is gonna hurt them too! I mean, really hurt them!
However, if he slow-walked some of these pathetic firings, tariffs, immigrant explusions, etc., these folks would still be just fine with the Nazi-leaning inspirations he and his co-President are doing. They would just fine with the anti-DEI, anti-Civil Rights, anti-anything-not-a-White-Male-Heterosexual-Conservative, pro-White Supremacy positions that is foundational to the GOP.

So, them being angry at finding themselves vulnerable does nothing to their views towards "the other". They are ok with labeling well educated, skilled, qualified (overly) folks of color as DEI, unqualified. They are ok with throwing out immigrants with no criminal record, despite the OVERWHELMING EVIDENCE that they not only pay taxes, but also contribute greatly to our economy, doing jobs that frankly, Americans won't do.
It ain't revolution that will heal this country, but revival. And true revival doesn't happen without repentance. So forgive me for this opinion, but I need for MAGA to suffer more for healing to begin.
