It's Time to Become the Trolls [1]

Today was only the second time in my life (the first was yesterday) in which I called all three of my elected representatives (two senators and one district rep) to complain. Yesterday I called to register my displeasure with Musk’s attempted takeover/makeover of our govt and today it was to complain about same’s threat to the VA. Since I am a USAF veteran this issue cuts particularly close to home as I do enjoy VA health benefits at a very nominal cost — which I feel I earned. Yesterday my message was fairly terse, although polite, and to the point. Today I decided to give more free reign to my emotions and made a “mini-rant” complaining about “Elon Mush and his dogmeat crew” trying to ram through their unelected, moronic fascist agenda. So my small piece of advice to anyone wanting to contribute their own individual effort to the resistance is to make a daily habit (or maybe at least 2-3 days a week) of calling your own reps — particularly if you live in a red state like I do (Utah) and give them a piece of your mind! I’ve read that Repub politicos are already starting to experience a the beginnings (hopefully) of a backlash on their phones, emails and town halls — let’s keep it up. As one of my favorite sci-fi authors (Harlan Ellison) put it succinctly — “be sand in the machinery of society.”
