Then, on the rest of the menu, Trump has removed all the remaining US Attorneys, including Oregon’s first Black woman and second Asian American to serve the district; the JFK Library in Boston will reopen today after Trump issued an 'executive order' for its sudden closure; and, rejecting arguments from former Governor Andrew Cuomo, New York’s top court affirmed the constitutionality of an ethics watchdog created three years ago to stem public corruption.
After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where racist attacks have increased in the German city of Magdeburg after the deadly Christmas market violence there last year; and, Brazil’s prosecutor-general formally charged former President Bolsonaro with attempting a coup in a plot that included a plan to poison his successor and current President Lula da Silva and kill a Supreme Court judge.
