Polio Is No Joke [1]

People ask me why I vehemently dislike Little Bobby Kennedy. The anti vaxxer is not a scientist, he’not a researcher, then what is he? He is a quack of the highest order, he is or was an addict. He is totally ignorant of the value of vaccines, I know a heck lot more about polio. Why do I say that, simply because long before we knew much about polio, when I was two (2) years old in 1929 I was a victim of polio. They knew practically nothing about it. Each doctor my parents took me to, had a different diagnosis. Finally my family doctor diagnosed it. I was sent to the Boston Children’s Hospital. They had at that time a group called “The Harvard Infantile Paralysis Commission “ specializing in Polio. There were a number of children there, all victims of polio? We were outfitted with braces and given some physical therapy but the damage was done, we were paralyzed. My paralysis was on my left leg I had no muscles operating in the leg from my toes to my hip. The leg atrophied, it is 2 inches shorter than my left leg, it has no working muscles at all. If I try standing on it,it collapses under me.In my younger years when summer came other children were out playing, I spent my summers in the hospital having orthopedic surgeries. While other children were playing ball, riding bikes, etc.,as teenagers going to dances, all I could do was look on. Every year meant new braces as I was growing. Experimental surgeries but nothing changes, the muscles just didn’t function.As I suffered my parents suffered even more praying that a miracle would happen, it didn’t.when Dr.Salk came out with the vaccine for polio, I thanked God and Dr.Salk.
just think children would not spend their lives as I did.
Bobby Kennedy with no medical background comes up with vaccines causing autism, there has never been any proof of this. He has put parents in a compromising position, they now have implanted in their minds, should I Have my children get the vaccine that could lead to autism or not have them take it and risk their getting polio.
please you should have them get it , for so many years it has been successful. My children and grand children got their shots immediately.My oldest children are in their 70s, my oldest granddaughter is 45. Thank God for the vaccine, they are fine.
I am 97 years old, considered the 2nd oldest victim still alive with polio.It does not end here because we now suffer from post polio syndrome which affects us in a variety of ways.
I beg all parents to be sure their children are vaccinated for Polio.measles, etc.
Right now in West Texas there is an outbreak of measles, this is not only dangerous for adults but for pregnant women.
If Bobby thought The polio vaccine was dangerous why did he and his republican congress people have their children vaccinate?Do you want to take that chance? I have suffered for 95 years due to polio, I missed the best part of my life, that of just being a kid and doing what every kid my age did.
