Justice Dept. Tuesday Night Massacre - Updated [1]

With all the Justice Dept. attorneys resigning over the quid pro quo deal of NY Mayor Adam's, 7 at last count, attorneys were making a statement.
Trump is firing all the remaining U.S. Attorneys appointed during the Biden Administration that were still left.
The tradition is that U.S. attorneys resign with a change in administration. According to Reuters, an email was sent out last week to Biden's remaining attorneys that read, "At the direction of President Donald J. Trump, I am writing to inform you that your position as U.S. Attorney is terminated, effective immediately."
There are 93 .U.S. attorneys for the 94 districts, two districts share one attorney.
Not all had resigned, for instance, Natalie K. Wight in Oregon. Her office put out a statement that she had received a termination notice and that, "The White House thanked her for her service to the United States."
It turns out that at least 22 U.S. Attorneys didn't know that they had been terminated 5 days earlier because the emails were sent to the wrong addresses, Bloomberg has reported. They were left hanging as they lost access to their government issued devices on Feb.14th. They literally didn't get the memo.
Apparently the Presidential Personnel Office emailed the Attorneys using their internal email addresses which should have bounced back as undeliverable.
Only their external email addresses would have gone through from the White House. The botched communications can be attributed to inexperienced political hires in the Trump administration.
Five other Attorneys started announcing their departure Monday night.
The remaining Attorneys were then emailed that they had been terminated on Feb.12th.
It seems that the termination effort had been mishandled so badly that the only way to fix it, and avoid embarrassment, was for Trump to finish it off publicly.
Now Trump gets to put in his loyalists who have to be approved by the Senate.
Claiming politicization of the Justice Dept. while forcing the Adam's case is rich irony.
"Biden Era" attorneys. What a crime it is to have anything to do with the Biden administration. Guilt by association.
"Clean house." He put it in quotes for me. Make up a reason that justifies the unjustifiable.
Firing all the attorneys will create a "Golden Age" of Justice. Golden Age is Trump's new cover story. The wicked are punished, the "good guys," the Trump loyalists, take over.
While a change of staff at the Justice Dept. is normal, Trump's politicicizing it is not.
There is still the controversy over the Adam's case. Hundreds of lawyers and former prosecutors have signed an open letter over the prosecutors who resigned rather than drop the case.
If Democrats read the Bloomberg article, they could have a field day over the Trump administration's incompetence. The Adam's case is still not over. We'll see what happens.
